The Women Entrepreneurs Finance Initiative (We-Fi) is pleased to announce its fifth call for proposals. Up to USD 10 million of financing is available for this call.

Established in 2017 with funding from 14 donor governments, We-Fi is a global partnership that supports women entrepreneurs in developing countries by scaling up access to finance, building capacity, expanding networks, and providing market opportunities. To enable We-Fi to drive systemic change and increase financing to women entrepreneurs, this call for proposals will be for WE Finance Code pilots.

The WE Finance Code is a multi-stakeholder effort which aims to accelerate gender-lens financing for women entrepreneurs and create a permanent shift in how women-led businesses are perceived, supported, and financed globally. It aims to leverage champions, data and public commitments to create incentives for action and focus attention and resources on creating more financial sector data that can be disaggregated to  better understand and eliminate gender bias and expand finance for women-led businesses. Additional information on the WE Finance Code can be found in the Concept Note and Proposal Template and Guidelines document.

We-Fi welcomes proposals from its Implementing Partners with a minimum threshold for a funding request is USD 0.5 million per proposal.
