On the occasion of Global Entrepreneurship Week 2020 and Women’s Entrepreneurship Day (November 19), women leaders connected to the Women Entrepreneurs Finance Initiative (We-Fi) left a message of perseverance, support and hope for women entrepreneurs around the world.

At We-Fi, we have witnessed the challenges WSMEs face because of the COVID-19 pandemic and related economic crisis, but have also seen the resilience and strength in women that will help them overcome these immense challenges – along with the support of mentors, partners, and financial institutions.

Over the past few months, we have spoken with We-Fi Leadership Champions, a cohort of women leaders committed to empowering and advocating for women entrepreneurs and women’s economic empowerment. We asked them about their own experience becoming a women leader, their advice for WSMEs during COVID-19, and their hope for the next generation of women. They reminded us that entrepreneurship requires business acumen and agility, but also inspiration and hope.

Watch a trailer of the interview series – and stay tuned for the ten official interviews, conducted by Maggie Lake, former business anchor and correspondent at CNN International.
