Background:

Organized by the Offices of the Executive Director of World Bank Group and International Monetary Fund representing countries in the Southeast Asia Voting Group, this flagship event aims to bring to the ongoing works and discussions at the World Bank Group a regional perspective of the Southeast Asia and East Asia and Pacific (SEA/EAP) members, especially of the region’s female leaders from both public and private sectors, on (i) the challenges and opportunities brought by digitalization to women and female leadership, and (ii) what could be done in closing the gender digital gap, especially by development partners like the WBG.

This event will also launch the Women Entrepreneurs Finance Code (WE Finance Code), a global initiative led by the Women Entrepreneurs Finance Initiative (We-Fi) that aims to catalyze systemic change to bridge the access to finance gap for women entrepreneurs.
