Co-organized by We-Fi, EIB, EBRD and 2XGlobal, the event brought together policymakers, practitioners, and advocates in a roundtable discussion to exchange ideas and experiences on what works in empowering women entrepreneurs addressing climate challenges. Through a lens of intersectionality, the discussions focused on the interconnected nature of gender, climate, and entrepreneurship, identifying opportunities for policy interventions, financial support mechanisms, and capacity-building initiatives.
As We-Fi is planning to launch a new round of funding that supports women entrepreneurs addressing climate challenges, this roundtable discussion also served as a consultation that informs the design of the funding call. The funding call will be officially issued January 2024, with allocations made in Fall 2024.
