Global Signatories are key players in the financial ecosystem who endorse the Code. They collaborate with partners and stakeholders to provide leadership, enhance data, and take actions aimed at eliminating constraints and closing financing gaps for women entrepreneurs. Participants can include banks, nonbank financial institutions, microfinance institutions, fintechs, funds, angel networks, insurance companies, and more.
“We’ve seen the power of designing with and for women to improve financial access, and CARE is excited to formally join WE Finance Code to strengthen these efforts. Sex disaggregated data is the first step to understanding opportunities and gaps for women small business owners. We are determined to make market systems work for women by working with financial service providers committed to intentionally design for and serve women entrepreneurs.”
Rathi Mani-Kandt, Director, CARE Women’s Entrepreneurship and Financial Inclusion.
“We are very proud of being part of the WE Finance Code, an initiative aligned with our commitment of advocating for financial inclusion as a key element of women’s social and economic empowerment, that we have promoted since our creation in 2007. It still plays a very relevant role in all the microfinance institutions who are part of the BBVAMF Group and in the model that we serve to the 1.7 million women we support in Latin America. We firmly believe that they are the cornerstones of development and poverty reduction in their households, communities and countries”.
Javier M. Flores, CEO, BBVAMF
